So I'm typing this to nobody right now, but hopefully that will change soon. I'm a complete amateur when it comes to this creating anything on the Internet. So first off I'll be looking for a couple of people with the experience in this department to help out.
I'm a new Raven owner. Just bought and took delivery of a 7100B. So far it's awesome. My plan is to mow (of course) and use it for my side business which is Welding and Fabrication. All of my machines except my plasma cutter will run off the Ravens generator. I'm also testing the waters in building some accessories for the raven. Any ideas? Let's get some members and make this forum a good one.
Thanks in advance to all new members. Please don't hesitate to message me with questions or fabrication ideas for the raven. Again I'll be looking for someone with experience to help with running the forum.

Thank you for putting this Raven-MPV forum together. We have been considering for nearly a year now, but I have yet to see one in person. They are a special order item at Lowe's in Oregon. Questions: 1) I understand seat adjustment requires some effort. I'm tall (36" inseam) my wife not. How much leg room would I have? 2) For the $500 price difference, besides paint, what are the differences between the 7100, 7100B and the 7100S (Sport with camo)?
Did you get yours at Lowe's? Will be looking forward to your owner reviews over time.

The seat on mine adjusts just like a car. Has a lever underneath the seat to slide back and forth and a lever on the side to recline. No issues for me. I'm 6' and about a 32" inseam and have plenty of room I think you would be fine. It's more like sitting on a golf cart not a typical riding mower. As far as differences on the models I think color is the only thing. But I did read somewhere that the red one doesn't have the "premium" seat. I purchased mine from SLE equipment and had it shipped to a local UPS freight terminal. They are located in Tennessee and shipped to iowa for $250. Total price including shipping was $4150.

What accessories do you know of that are currently available? The DR site seems hard to find a page that shows anything that's available.

Hi folks, would have to agree with "BB", and "second" the thanks for putting this board up. The Raven is still a little new, and its difficult to get information from folks that actually own/use one. I bought a 7100 last September (2014) and have used it dozen times or so. Mostly for mowing my yard (approx. 1.5 acres, fairly flat, but with some ditches and rough), but also for pulling a lawn trailer to collect landscaping debris, and even a little cruising around the neighborhood (deck detached of course).
My son and I tried the "ATV" feature during the last winter storm through Virginia, pulling him and a large toboggan around the neighborhood. It gets around alright in 6-8 inches of snow, but it is still only two wheel drive. And if you happen to get the rear wheels stuck in a ditch, you are reminded very quickly where all of the weight of the vehicle resides, over the rear axel. (long story, will provide details in another post in the future when I don't feel so stupid).
Have not tested the generator feature yet, but plan on this weekend just to check it out.
I bought the 7100 at my local Lowes. Great bunch, but no detailed knowledge of the mower. When I arrived to pick it up, they just wheeled it out and handed me the packet of manuals/etc, and said thanks. I had expected some sort of quick instruction on at least proper starting and pre-checks, but no one knew any of the specifics. For the kind of money for the vehicle, I think a "post-sale" checklist would be provided, and a short block of basic operation instruction would be included. But I sat in the parking lot and read the quick start guide, checked the oil, cranked it up, and drove onto my trailer with no problems.
I did buy the extended warranty, which I though was prudent, but haven't used any benefits as of yet. I was told that it included a percentage off of repair parts for the Raven, which I am looking into now as I shop for blades and maintenance items (filters/etc). The parts are difficult to find (Raven America website tells you to simply "call", and does not offer even a list of parts available on the website), and the Lowes.com website is a scavenger hunt, depending on your choice of search terms. I was able to find a new mulch kit (which almost was a deal killer when I purchased, because I usually only utilize mulching mowers) and am glad it is available. I ordered it off of the website, along with a set of locking pins for the mower deck (while I was finishing my mowing last evening, the forward pin "disappeared", and the cutting deck began diving into the yard, not sure how it worked itself out, but temporarily replaced with a right sized bolt and nut and was able to complete the last few strips of mowing.
Would be glad to answer any questions, as long as they aren't extremely technical. Shade tree mechanic here, and in the true sense of the character "Oddball" in Kelly's Heroes referring to his M4 tank, "...I only ride em...I don't know what makes em tick"...lol.

Thanks for joining the forum. I just mowed with my 7100B for the first time today. Mowed pretty good but I did set the deck too low. I would like to see a bagger setup become available. I did hear that they are working on a snow blade for it that is suppose to be ready sometime this summer.

picked up one the first of the month. just running it around the propety.over all i like the unit , the generator is great it cuts the dead grass n leaves fine.. fit n finish could be better. dont like the long crank time when cold. it has a choke on carb havent tried it yet . im an old R&D mec so im probley more pickey than most. no lube points on the wish bones or steering gear .!! silent running is great. that may get modified , the pivot points i mean. the main reason im posting this , i bought this from a mall local tractor supply dealer, i asked for and got a complete print out of the parts breakdown of the unit, about thirty pages, he also gave me a price list of all the parts,! i think i was his first customer. mr admin man ru intrested in a copy of said list to post here ?? thanx dwight

Dwight/Admin - I'm about to pull the trigger on getting the 7100S from an independent dealer (won't be able to get extended service plan from Lowe's, but it's a better price and I think it's worth the trade off). I'm only a little hesitant to make the purchase given the 710 history and the fact that Denver Global is new to the mower market, but I think this new toy... I mean piece of equipment... is worth the risk. Having that parts list would really help ease my mind for the purchase. Please post it here for all of us to take advantage of it!
One final thing for all current owners: I've got 5 acres of flat grass and have somewhat convinced myself that even though it only has a 46" deck, it will still get the job done in a reasonable time due to its actual mowing speed. Another site said it can cut just as much as a 54" tractor (possibly in a little less time). Do you think this is true? I really want to avoid spending over $10K on a 60" Dixie Chopper or anything like that.

Hi all, new member here. Owner of a recently purchased 7100S and so far very happy. Mowed with it a few times and starting to get the hang of it. I love the ability to run around the neighborhood and pull a trailer with "stuff" on it! Looking forward to the bagher Raven is coming out with. Have you guys seen the new tires? Link here: http://instagram.com/p/08SEpOKDcO Tried to post a pic of my Raven but can't get it to work on my phone. I'll try and get on posted tonight. Looking forward to many happy years of use. Greg

Just used it again tonight for a bit of yard work. Had to take a couple bags of sand around and the Raven was perfect for the job. After that I dropped the deck and took the kiddos for a ride around the neighborhood. They were giggling all the way!
I have to say I'm pretty happy so far.
I did read an update under a video on YouTube by joejoeman923 I believe. He has had his for about two years I think, had an original that was recalled and replaced. Anyway, he has been a staunch supporter and wrote that the other day when he was mowing it started to run rough and smoke. Said he was going to call DGP today. I haven't seen an update yet. I'll let you know if I do.
Admin, thanks for setting up the forum!

Greg Awesome great to have you here. I usually only get on here about once a week to check. Those tires look awesome. I'm constantly using my raven for little jobs. I only have about 1/4 acre lot, so it's a little overkill. But I really like mine. Kids love going for rides. I had a cooler full of "refreshments" in the back last night and headed over to the neighbors for a cookout and fire.

I got the new Raven Bagger Attachment a couple of weeks ago and so for after mowing twice it has not picked up more than a couple of blades of grass in the bagger. The bagger kit comes with 2 new Mulching High Lift Blades which being lazy I opted not to put on but now I think they are a must because with the stock blades it doesn't perform at all as it should. I even called Denver Global to confirm they were different from stock and they stated they were. Cost shipped for bagger kit is $399. At the same time I ordered I mentioned to them I had issues with my deck in that the anti scalp wheels were both angled on one side because the mounting frames were bent and asked how much it would cost to replace and it is $500 but she sent me one for free since mine actually did come from the store that way. I bought mine last august from Lowes and it was a returned model that they said the deck had been damaged and repaired but I am guessing it never was repaired actually.
I have been so far really impressed with the Raven and the level of customer service. When I first got mine as mentioned it had been a return so I basically got it for about 1/2 off and besides the deck it had issues with the 48 volt battery not charging. I called the company and they sent a tech from 6 hours away to replace the batteries and the motherboard type controller but I forgot to mention the deck and I was traveling for work when he came. I didn't worry too much about the anti-scalp wheels being at an angle because I mowed high enough that they really didn't touch the ground but with the bagger I was worried about it and was very impressed that they replaced the deck as well even though it had been almost a year since I bought it. I think if you can get a hold of them on the phone which is hard sometimes they go far and above on Customer Service and I hope they stay in business for a long time.
