Recently one of my motors on my mowing deck stopped working (the one next to the grass shoot). I have 2 mowing decks so I switched and the problem persisted. I am thinking it may be a fuse or something. Does anyone know what this might be?

Sounds like a motor controller went bad or just bad motor. Did you drop deck and check all connections my have come loss at controller.

I am having a similar problem with the same motor/controller. The one nearest the grass chute. Has anyone found any results? CAn I swap the controllers?

I'm having the same problem with my Raven. Deck motor nearest the chute isn't spinning. Any updates from others here?

My blades did the same thing today. both blades started working then after I disengaged them one of the blades turns slowly and weakly, just enough power to nick the grass but not cut it fully. I will be watching here and researching other places to find ideas to repair this problem. I was desperate and I didn't want to spend money renting a mower so I cut the acre and the half with the Raven half working deck it was hilarious a pain in the butt and it took me 4 hours. there's got to be a better way

I have my deck torn apart now. My outer blade is not spinning either. I split the controller open to take a look. It was fairly moist in there. The sealer used when it was made failed. Other than cleaning up the connectors, there is nothing in there that can be repaired. I would like to bench test the controller. I am hoping to get the procedure from another member. I will let folks know how I make out.

It is either the controller or motor. Fuse will only impact the entire deck. Test specs don't always tell you the answer sometimes. You might just need to switch the controller from one side to the other and narrow it down. Pull the controller off the side that is working and set it on top of the other one. Connect the wires and fire the deck up just long enough to see if the blade spins. If not, bad motor as you know the controller is good because it worked before. If it does work, then the other controller is bad.
If it had a lot of moisture inside, I suspect you have a bad controller. They don't like water.
Avoid hosing the top of the deck down with a water hose (not saying you did). Best to just blow it off.
