I've been reading this forum since it started and have experienced most if not all the problems that others have posted about. I love my Raven and will continue to do whatever necessary to keep it going, and I appreciate all the help I've gotten from here. I'd like to specifically give a shout out to larrys for his efforts to help everyone work on their issues.
So, the "new" problem is really the same problem seen so much on here, but in a much different cause/effect manner. What I mean is that I'm having the issue where my Raven won't move in forward or reverse, but in my case it was caused by me removing my mower deck. I did this because I don't use it and lately I have been driving my Raven on and off my lowboy to take it with me when I need a generator, and having the deck on it when going up and down ramps is usually problematic. So I drove it into my shop, turned it off, and unplugged the deck and removed it. Hopped back on, started it up, and sure enough, it wouldn't move. So I turned it back off and maneuvered the deck into a position where I could plug it back in without actually installing it. Then I started it up and selected reverse and cut the front wheels so that I could ease it back at an angle that allowed it to unplug itself without too much strain on the connectors and without me having to run over the deck or plug. I was then able to drive in either direction normally. However, when I parked and turned it off, I restarted it to see if it would continue to drive normally and once again it would no longer move. I haven't repeated the experiment by plugging the deck in again yet. Just an FYI, I always run the gas engine when I use it. I bought it used and it has never worked in electric only mode for me since I've had it, even with a brand new 48v pack. The charging system works fine as far as I can tell.
