I just bought a used Raven the mower deck comes on as soon as the engine starts, with the PTO on or off it makes no difference I unglued the PTO an the blades still come on as soon as the engine starts. the Raven will not move by the battery at all { the battery is fully charged 53 v

Hello - I am not the most knowledgeable Raven guy but I've run through a few problems with mine. If I had to guess your problem is caused by the electronic module that mounts under the Ignition switch panel....it can be seen if you raise the deck and look in the direction of the ignition. These go bad (earlier versions) and new versions are much more stable. There is a guy on this site that has a lot of parts available. I just don't remember who he is or what this part is called.
Also, the batteries are probably shot (4x12v = 48v). It may show 53 volts when not under load but go down to nothing when loaded. I've gone through a couple sets of batteries (under warranty) because they kept sending crappy batteries. The last set they sent me seems to be good. The 12v ignition battery went bad too. Lead-acid batteries are a pain.
