Hi all - I've owned the Raven for a few years now and absolutely love it. This past summer though I've noticed it becoming harder to turn the wheel back to center if I turn too much. It's gotten to the point that I can no longer do full turns, I need to sort of "K" turn to go a full 180 without getting stuck going in circles, literally. I have found a replacement steering shaft on eBay, but not the steering rack. It doesn't seem to match up to any other brands as I have also been trying to find a possible substitute if I can't source an authentic one. Has anyone on this forum have any leads, or might know of a suitable substitution brand?

look under frame where the gear hits see if it has moved if so mined did two section of frame upper and lower part of frame came apart the weld broke loose. I had to use a large c clamp squeeze them back together and weld both side of frame have to be done. Once it's done the gear seat back into the right location. The weld the did is just a tack on each side of tube it breaks apart very easy but left and right side need to be done. that should be your fix it did mine.

crawford - Thanks, I did take a look with a buddy of mine as well and it looks okay in that respect, but you can definitely tell the teeth on the rack start to show wear the further from center you go on both sides. larrys - Excellent, thanks! I'll be shooting you an e-mail shortly.

yes as the upper frame and lower frame come apart the gear changes location and hits and edge of gear. You could save it because when you compress both together the gear will go more center easy fix just need to weld it better then they did. I took off plastic nose and welded all around the both tubes
