I am having a issue: when I let off of the brake the engine dies. Anyone have any ideas what is causing this and how to fix it? I would very much appreciate any help. Please send info to cindysse@hotmail.com. Thanks!

I would lean towards the seat switch as well based on what you are saying. If you start the engine with the brake engaged and stand up I assume it keeps running. Once you sit down and disengage the brake it quits. If that is correct, raise the seat up and you should be able to see in between the bottom of the seat and mounting plate for the seat switch. The switch is a round plastic piece with a small metal plate attached to it. Try to insert something between the bottom of the seat and the metal plate like a paint stick or something. Then test again and see what happens.
If this works, keep in mind that it might not shut off when get out of the seat while it is mowing.
