Bought my Raven7100MPV in October on Amazon, currently has 25.3 hours on it. Started leaking oil on April 14 and I contacted Kim. Two techs showed up about three weeks later, saw where it was pumping oil out and said they could not fix it. They also commended it was running ragged. A replacement is supposedly in the pipeline. Another tech called and said he was coming by. Got excited thinking it was the replacement, got to talking and discovered he was not aware they had already been here to look at it. Right hand, meet left hand. Waiting patiently.
Oil on the dipstick goes from full to fill in about 30 minutes of running/mowing. Still use it some, don't want to oil the new lawn (fescue etc) too much. Still have my trusty 9 year old rear engine riding Snapper that I was going to sell this spring, but could not part with it. Only has a 30 inch blade, takes awhile, but heck, I'm retired.
Had a previous incident that the deck would not come on. Tech showed up about a week later and replaced a safety switch/device somewhere under it. Deck was not getting the 12 volt control. I posted on that also. Overall I'm mostly happy with the machine. aka MPV.

New replacement Raven arrived last night at 9:15. The service tech, Donnell, was very nice and professional. Had to move a couple parts from the old unit to new (tow bar etc). He indicated the engine gasket failure is a known issue. The original Raven was labeled May 21, 2015. The new unit is October 13, 2015 and has eight hours on the meter, old had 29. It arrived covered with dust and pollen, This morning it is squeaky clean and has a new coat of spray wax and tire shine. The only response when I asked about the production stop was "they have plenty for now". I'm a happy camper and hopefully things will work themselves out. There was a "gift" for my troubles.
I cleaned and decreased the deck while it was off and sharpened the blades. I also ordered a Raven 48 volt charger on Amazon, plan to do more neighborhood and trail stuff on battery.

Denny........ I just looked for the 48v charger on amazon, and it says discontinued. Can you provide me with a link for your purchase?

When I ordered the charger yesterday i believe it said 3 in stock. Now evidently none. Call Kita at Raven support, she may know something. There are other 48 volt chargers, probably wouldn't be plug and play though. I received an order confirmation from Amazon, no shipping info yet. Good luck.

Denny
You must be in Charlotte area. Out here in E. Texas we can't even get them to answer the phone.
