Hi there! I am new to the forum and I am so pleased that this forum was started. I have a Raven mower and so very happy with it and the way it cuts. However, lately it has been cutting and stopping and then goes a little while and stops. If I turn off the blades it will move forward and backward but eventually stop and I will have to let it run for 2 hours to charge before mowing another 400 sqft. I called today and they said it is likely the voltage regulator. Has anyone had this problem and are they easy to install. Has anyone installed these voltage regulators? I just want my mower to be running great again.

.Yes you voltage regulator is in cover on back side of generator. you need to remove seat side covers cover under seat cover release panal in front which has you plugs need only swing it away just enough so when you take off bolts off round cover it as clearance to clear it to remove it completely then look inside you see what looks like a 1/2 moon shape that's it 2 screws and 3 wires and you down getting to it about a hour work well that's what it took me LOL

Can you confirm whether the connectors on this replacement are correct for the MPV7100: www.ebay.com/itm/FindingKing-AVR-for-Brute-Raven-Stelle-Power-Firman-ECO7000-Voltage-Regulator/112520112385 ? I'm curious if that item will work as a replacement since they say it can be used on a Raven in the listing, but I haven't had a chance to open up the mower to see what the voltage regulator looks like yet.

Answered my own question. Found an official voltage regulator, and it has more connectors than the one I posted, so it definitely has to be one from Raven. I changed it out yesterday, and the unit seems to be running better now. However, the blade motor on my deck nearest the chute has now stopped spinning. Everything is put back together correctly. I even took pictures along the way while I took it apart to make sure I was able to put everything back together again. No idea what this problem might be, but I see another thread here of people with the same problem, but no answer. I'll have to see if I can contact service.

I have 2 decks and the deck that came with Raven has one blade that will not work. On the other deck both blades will work but it kills motor after running every 5 mins or so. Ive changed the 100 amp fuses and the two fuses under seat. Everything else works like it should. Might try voltage regulator to see if it helps.

Dave yes thats what it looks like question why aren'y you get it raven? they have a warehouse full of parts that would be no guess ion DGP has gone out of business as of last week. There's now just a recorded message saying DGP is out of business and will be going through dissolution soon. The message also gives you an address to file a claim against the company and that they will fill valid claims as funds are available after the dissolution is over. Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be any way to get parts from them anymore.

Can anyone share a picture of where the voltage regulator is located or further explain where it is. I'm having trouble locating it after taking the generator panel and seat panel off. Thank you in advance for any help.

There should be a round black metal cover with vented slots on the back of the generator under the seat and behind the generator panel. Remove the panel and you should see the back of the gen. Remove the cover and there is a moon shape black piece that is the voltage regulator. Once you find a regulator, it has to be adjusted accordingly.

It's further inside from there. It looks like you already removed the panel under the seat. If you look under the seat, you'll see the big round black cover with vented slots that larrys was talking about. It faces towards the generator panel that you have removed in your picture. The round black cover has to be removed, and you'll see the voltage regulator behind where that was. You will probably have to remove the seat and the trim piece under the seat to get the black cover out.

Sam, why do you think the voltage regulator is bad and needs to be replaced. Are you getting any voltage at the generator panel plugs? There is a way to check it without tearing into the unit in case it is not bad. Just having the battery light come on is not an indication that the regulator is bad. Are you having a different issue?

I think I was just hoping that was the issue, since there seems to be a trend with the battery light on and the voltage regulator fixing the issue. I just finished replacing the voltage regulator and and still having the same problem of when trying to move forward or backwards losing power. Also, when I engage the mower deck the blades will run momentarily and then partially shut down and start back up. It seems like it's not getting consistent power.
