I talked to Amber at Raven for tech support for issues I'm having with my Raven MPV7100 yesterday morning. She asked me to check the voltages at the deck plug for her and call her back. I told her I was at work at the time, so couldn't check until I got home that evening. I tried calling again a few times this morning, and kept immediately getting put on hold. I just tried one more time this afternoon, and the hold message has now been replaced with a message that Denver Global has gone out of business and will be going through a dissolution process soon(!!!). The message says that any claims can be sent to their address in NC (the address is included in the message), and they will be retroactively filling valid claims after the dissolution.
I really don't know where to go from here. It's really beyond disappointing. I'm now stuck with a mower that has one blade on the deck not spinning, and no way to figure out how to get it fixed. Is anyone in the market for a used Raven?

Not what we wanted to hear, although not surprised. There will have to be some type of support going forward. You are probably in need of a Blade Motor Controller (BMC). I went through several early on. I am going to be very very careful with mine. Eventually some people will be parting their units out.

I went through several early on. I am going to be very very careful with mine. Eventually some people will be parting their units out. I'm not sure it's the BMC. The blade kind of tries to spin up, but then dies. Amber said if the BMC was out it wouldn't spin at all. She said it might be the blade motor. The blade stopped working when I tried to mow my grass this past Sunday. Prior to that I noticed the battery light on constantly while mowing the previous few times, and the light is also on if I try to drive in electric mode. All the batteries in my battery pack tested good (all a little over 12v). I measured a constant 66.5v at the deck plug which seems high to me, but wasn't able to confirm with Amber today. Digging through the threads here, it looks like I might need a new voltage regulator. I just needed a little more tech support to figure it all out. I'm not sure if my problem with the blade and the battery light are related or not.

My blades did the same thing today. both blades started working then after I disengaged them one of the blades turns slowly and weakly, just enough power to nick the grass but not cut it fully. I will be watching here and researching other places to find ideas to repair this problem.

If they are out of business, our support here has to increase as I'm sure it will only be a matter of time and we'll be doing 100% of the diagnosis and troubleshooting and sourcing of replacement parts if even possible.

As a side note, I'd ordered a new air filter and set of mower blades from Lowes on 7/10/2018 today I got this:
"I regret to inform that this vendor has went out of business and will be unable to ship your product. A refund is being issued for your order total. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
Thank you for shopping with Lowe's."

It does appear that Denver Global is out of business; curious and anxious to order routinely needed replacement parts asap. I replaced one blade motor (furnished by DGP/RavenAmerica) when it quit recently, symptoms similar to description by ddave123. I've now got issues with mower deck quitting as if safety switch tripped. Normally if a safety switch trips, like shifting weight on seat, the system recovers, but not this time. Even if mower deck disengaged as soon as it faults, it does not recover. Engine will restart as long as deck is disengaged, but now shuts down as soon as deck is engaged. Any ideas, anyone?

Most likely a deck motor or controller issue. I can walk you through checking them.

They are liquidating...so will there be a flood of parts we need to stock up on? Does anyone know how dissolution works with a manufacturer that has a stockpile of inventory parts?

All the parts are sold off to whomever they want to. Not like a BK where there is an auction. All the parts have been sold and I have some as well as other people. On most parts there will be an inventory for quite a while. Drive motor controller and PCB assembly there could be a shortage of as DGP was low on inventory before dissolution. Blade motors and controller there will be new and used versions available.

It is sad really. I would have thought that one of the bigger mower companies might have bought them out so they in turn would have a head start on this product line. Although it might be cleaner for them to just buy the intellectual property and not inheret the debt and liability. The raven isn't a perfect machine but it does have some uniqueness to it and I think it was a step forward in residential mowers.

Well this really sucks, I just bought a used Raven yesterday. Seems like a great idea, and well made, found this forum searching for information
The unit Seems to be functional, with a few issues, only shows 212 hours.
If anyone can help with the following, it would be appreciated!
1. the unit appears to be missing the muffler, maybe the second one? It’s quite loud and the exhaust exits to the side, looks like something attaches and goes to the rear?
2. missing the grass deflector
3. can’t get the park to hold.
4. The battery low light came on, yet everything is functional.
thanks in advance

Graham, Actually 212 hrs is a lot of hours on any mower. Here are my thoughts on your questions: 1) no you are not missing anything. These units are load and the exhaust comes out the side. What are probably missing is the spark arrestor which is no issue. These get easily clogged and start causing the unit to run rough. 2) I think I have the grass deflector and parts to install it. Send me a message through the forum here with your email address or email me at shawnee28021@gmail.com and I'll check and let you know. 3) Do you mean the pedal will not stay engaged or the brake just does not hold? Might just need to adjust the brakes or replace the pads. 4) If everything is running fine then don't worry just yet. Make sure to keep the 48v battery fully charged. Hopefully you got a charger with the unit but if not I have one as well. Your 48v battery might be getting weak. Try running the unit sitting still for a couple hours and see if that helps any.

Graham, Actually 212 hrs is a lot of hours on any mower. 2 1/2 hours is a lot on a Raven. 😃
